The Valkyrja design by NORTHRUNE UK® is inspired by the legendary Valkyries of Norse mythology—powerful warrior maidens chosen by Odin to ride across the battlefield and guide the bravest fallen warriors to Valhalla.

More than warriors, the Valkyries symbolised honour, destiny, courage, and the reward earned through fearless sacrifice. They stood as guardians between life and the afterlife, choosing those whose names would live on among the greatest heroes of the North.

Above the Valkyrie stands the Vegvisir, often known as the Viking Compass. According to Icelandic tradition, it was believed to guide its bearer safely through storms and uncertainty without losing the way. Together with the Valkyrie, it represents courage, guidance, purpose, and the determination to follow one's destiny regardless of the challenges ahead.

The inscription "Choose the Slain" reflects the sacred duty of the Valkyries—to select the most honourable warriors worthy of entering Valhalla, where their legacy would live forever.

• Made with 100% ring-spun cotton, the Gildan Softstyle® 64000 offers a lightweight 4.5 oz/yd² (153 g/m²) fabric that feels exceptionally soft all year round.

• Heather colours: 35% ring-spun cotton / 65% polyester
• Sport Grey & Antique colours: 90% cotton / 10% polyester
• Graphite Heather: 50% ring-spun cotton / 50% polyester

Care Instructions

• Wash inside out at 30°C
• Wash with similar colours
• Do not bleach
• Do not iron directly on the print
• Tumble dry on low heat or air dry for best results
